Why do you (Esther Hicks) seem to feel the need to place a name (Abraham) on the idea of infinite intelligence?

Fortunately the “Secret” has been taught before Abraham and will be taught after Abraham is gone. It is unfortunate that “intellectual property” rights are being attached to laws of the “Universe.” Without a doubt Rev Beckwith, has been teaching “the Secret” at Agape for at least 20 years, his goal is to spread the word rather than claim a property right to something that is universal. Can Issac Newton claim intellectual property rights to the Law of Gravity? HMMMMMM.

Fwiw, The “Law of Attraction” can be found in Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes, published around 1925.

My bottom line for spiritual wisdom is “is it free” …..I find all this rationalising of self absorbtion and greed rally depressing. It just does not fit with what I understand of the philosophies of any of the great spiritual leaders I know of..Christ, Buddha, Mother Theresa, Gandhi, Martin Luther King etc. As for its attitude to suffering and evil……

These people (Rhonda & Esther) seem to have gotton over it and so should we. But I would like to add in Esther’s defense, that she NEVER claimed to have “property rights” to the knowledge Law of Attraction or that she is the first to know it & teach it.
However, The teachings of Abraham are considered by many to be one of the authorities on the subject. It is also evident in the origional version of The Secret that Rhonda used some of the Abraham audio clips for the film (with permission of course). That’s probably why legal assistance was needed.
And in response to the first comment…The name Abraham was given to Esther because she “asked” for the name of her guidance…and a name was given to her. Here is the Hebrew meaning of the name Abraham that I think is rather interesting - father of the multitude. (just something to chew on)
